Blog cards — retired plum styles

Archived 8 September 2026, when the Blog index moved to the v2 card design (no card box, coloured text categories). Recorded here so the old plum treatment can be reconstructed if needed. None of these classes were deleted — they are still in use elsewhere on the site. What changed is which classes the blog card carries.

What the blog card used to carry

The plum card box

The visible box was never a border or a shadow — nc-card already had all four border styles set to none, and cc-width_auto set box-shadow: none. The box was background colour, corner radius and padding:

The plum tag pills

Category and read time were both nc-tag ncc-red_wine, sitting in a container absolutely positioned above the card's top edge.

Grid

nc-2x1 base is unchanged: two equal columns, 1em row and column gap. The blog index now adds ncc-blog_grid for 3.5em row / 2.5em column.

Note: nc-card, nc-tag, ncc-red_wine, cc-width_auto, cc-blog and nc-2x1 are all shared site-wide and were not modified. Every v2 change is a new combo or a new blog-specific global.
