SaaS Marketing Funnel (ToFu, MoFu, BoFu)

ToFu, MoFu, BoFu, Top of Funnel, Middle of Funnel, Bottom of Funnel

A visual model of the customer path: ToFu (attracting attention), MoFu (building trust), and BoFu (encouraging purchase).

Why it matters

The funnel isn't just theory—it’s how you manage your resources. If you spend all your time on social media (ToFu) but have no pricing page or demo (BoFu), you’re just a content creator, not a business owner. A healthy funnel balances all three stages so you are constantly attracting, educating, and closing.

Examples:

  • Top of Funnel (ToFu): Marketing activities for attracting wide attention. Like blog posts, glossary pages, and social media updates.
  • Middle of Funnel (MoFu): Content to build trust and educate potential customers. Such as webinars, case studies, and introductory email series.
  • Bottom of Funnel (BoFu): Content for encouraging a purchase. Like pricing pages, product demos, or comparison tables.
